Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

Energy Certification is now required before sale, letting, construction and assignment of commercial property.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are being phased in to cover commercial buildings from April 6th 2008.

By October 2008 all properties (apart from a few exceptions) will require an EPC prior to construction sale or lease. All types of units will be affected with new-build being assessed off-plan.
